Smittox's founder Kuumba Smith is a well proven home-brewer who has a knack for making great beer. His beers have a large following and many seek them out through various methods. Smittox began with a man and his passion for craft beer. As Smitty was getting more involved in drinking craft beer, a thought crossed his mind "can I brew something like this."

That thought turned into a hobby when the first batch was brewed on brisk fall night in 2013. That batch was far from perfect, as a matter of fact it was god awful. But the seed was planted and that gave him the opportunity to learn from that mistake and make better beer. Fast forward and Smittox Brewing now has a deeper knowledge on creating and brewing award winning beers.

 He has won several competitions and continues to place well. His greatest accomplishment was winning the 2018 Martin House Brewing Riverside Shootout competition. The winning beer was put into production and distributed throughout major markets in Texas in 2018. The batch was sold out in a matter of weeks of hitting stores. Due to popular demand, the beer was produced and sold again in the fall of 2019.

Currently a brewery in planning with hopes of bringing his beers to DFW,
